Volunteer with US
Volunteering roles are available across the north of England, and include prison link workers and mentors, local mentors, administrators and organisers, fund-raisers and IT specialists.
In2Out volunteers are core to the In2Out team and we rely on them to deliver thousands of hours of frontline activity each year. We are proud of everyone who volunteers to help us and we know that In2Out could not exist without the commitment and dedication they show at great cost to themselves.
Different WAYS to HElp
We are always keen to talk with people who have the time, skills and desire to support the work we do and the young people we are serving.
There are a couple of ways you could volunteer with In2Out:
MENTORING & BEFRIENDING
As a frontline worker, you might like to take the opportunity to build your skills and experience, receiving free training while making new friends and, as a mentor or befriender, become a role model for someone who has never had one. You may want to work inside a prison as a link worker, or be available to meet those being released at the gate.
If you don’t feel that your skills fit frontline work perhaps you could help to co-ordinate volunteers, provide administrative support, undertake social media work, IT work or event support… we have lots of opportunities!
Supporting our Volunteers
In2Out offers volunteers a full package of informal and formal support with named staff, direct communication with our leaders, ongoing training and, of course, reimbursement of expenses.
We offer support groups, quarterly inspiring training events, and the opportunity for other developmental and social activities.
We also update our team regularly via email, web, social networks and newsletters.
Please use the contact form to receive more information or make an expression of interest.
Alternatively, to start the process please fill in the Volunteer Application Form and the Safeguarding Declaration Form and email them to email@example.com
We will then invite you to an informal interview where you will have opportunity to find out more, ask questions, and identify how you can get involved. All Volunteer applicants are subject to DBS Clearance which must be completed before any volunteer work can commence.
