In2Out reoffending rate falls to less than 10%

We know the work of In2Out is changing young people's lives. We also know that the task is not getting any easier. In fact, it's pretty clear it's getting progressively harder as we find the young people we're coming into contact with are even more complex and their lives even more chaotic than ever before. What that translates to for In2Out is that the need AND the impact that we can have has never been greater.

The latest figures from the Ministry of Justice (Jan 2025) show that on average 66% of 15-18 year olds leaving custody WILL reoffend within 12 months of release. Shocking as that statistic is, it's a sign of the scale of challenges facing young people and those that seek to journey with them.

Thankfully, we know that our work makes a difference. In 2024, for those 15-18 year olds supported by In2Out on release, the reoffending rate fell to less than 10%.
